This was built by Maeve's Grandfather Derek to his design which required no dug-in fixings. The far swing allows older children to swing out over the western gully. One summer the tawny frogmouths took a liking to the poinciana tree overhanging it; the baby frogmouths nearly tipped over backwards trying to keep an eye on the children playing.
In 2003 Maeve did an art project on Qld architecture which required her to find her favourite house and sketch and then lino-cut it. This was her favourite house, complete with cat and frogmouths.
